Hi guys and gals!!
It's been ages since I posted a blog and well today is a very important day indeed.  I won into the WSOP Mega Satellite from a meager start in a Stage 3 satellite costing me $3.15....that's the only stage I took a rebuy in so after winning a seat in that progressed to the stage 2 which I won into the next stage 1 which was a $109 freezeout...that one managed 12 players for $41 for 4th $109 for 3rd and 1st and 2nd were a seat into the Mega Satellite tonight at 7 p.m. on Blackbelt Poker http://www.blackbeltpoker.com  careybear for your referral code (always can use more points) of course (or other ipoker skins which aren't as good btw imho)  anyway.....to win this would be my biggest dream come true to be honest because I've been playing online since 2004 and live since 2007 and love (and hate at times) this game and would love to take on the Main Event with the other thousands of people taking part...I've never been to Las Vegas and to have my tickets and hotel paid for would just be the icing on the cake...and being able to wear my Blackbelt Poker patch with pride would be another added bonus.

Last night we had our monthly Essex Home Game at Martin's house..http://www.essexhomegame.co.uk .It was a total blast especially our first table...thanks guys for making me laugh all night....you guys rock...If any of you out there are in Essex or Kent or further afield and would love to come to a great night of poker with a the friendliest group of people ever then come along on July 1st to Martin's house in Basildon and enjoy a great game...£25 altogether (£20 for the game and £5 for the bounty).  We've been playing it since 2008 and have never had a bad night...

Well I'm off to do some more laundry and a little more relaxing before my big tournament at 7p.m.  Massive overlay it looks like for tonight...

Love and God Bless,

Black Belt Poker

Hey everyone!! I haven't posted anything in here in ages but just wanted to post that I'm presently doing the pre-grading on Black Belt Poker.com and am having a great time. I'm doing stts and you have to do 120 table hours in 7 days...yikes i'm only up to 21 1/2 or so (38 stts) and it's already Wednesday. Not sure how I'm gonna finish but will keep chugging along if I don't run out of money first!! lol I'm really starting to love it on Blackbelt and have even made it my home page on my chrome browser. Can't wait until March for the live London event at the Vic casino in London. I played a $12.50 stage 2 satellite with 4 other fellow blackbelters and won it so I'm not in the stage 1 on the 27th to get into the live event. It's worth $220 (or about £130) Not to mention there's an orange belt last longest extra money and i think there's $25,000 added to the prize pool as well. Tons of big names will be there!! Can't wait I'm so excited to meet all my new Black Belt friends.

Well gonna go for now...maybe I'll try and keep this updated more often this year :)

Should probably use this blog!!!

Hi all....after reading Caroline's (gobshite on legs) and finding Matt Broughton's (TheWaster) blog on here I thought I probably should start using this blog because well it's really cool actually.

I have not been playing a lot of poker lately because well to be honest...haven't been in the mood much and am quite broke.  The Betfred Ladies' Poker Tour satellites have started again and I did win a seat into the weekly final as did Paul but we both busted out early...they made the weekly final a rebuy this year.  Not really that happy about this but not gonna bitch about it cuz well it does add more seats to win.  Like last night because of the rebuys and add-ons and 21 entrants in the end there were 4 seats to be won.  Unfortunately, my friend Vicky who I kindly donated all my chips to with my pkt queens to her pkt kings earlier in the tournament lost her internet connection and bubbled :(  Very unlucky timing...damn isp anyway.

I'm thinking about trying to start playing again part time and any of my winnings for the week over the amount I put on I'll take off and use for things like food and clothing.  Since I can't seem to find a job I might as well play while all the kids are at school.  Saying this, Chris and Will are only at school between 8:50 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. so not much time to play...but I know that there are some really bad players on during the day on Betfred compared to at night.  I really just want to play jackpot sit n gos.  I love those Maui and Rio jackpot tables.  I'm going to put on enough to play 10 Maui's which is $60 and go from there.  If I win enough I'll play Rios because they're my favorite and I do the best on those because they're 6 seaters and pay to 3rd.  Not only that the added bonus to these if on the Mauis you win 5 in a row there is a big jackpot and for consolation if you get 5 first and seconds in a row you get $200.  For the Rios you must win 6 in a row for the jackpot or get 6 first and seconds in a row for the consolation which I believe is $300.  Also, on the Rios the buy in is $20 + $3.50 for the fee which works towards getting money again for the RPO sponsored player list.  Also they're worth something like 57 betfred points everytime you play them which works towards the two cash bonuses I have waiting to be released to me when I make the certain amount of points I need.  Since I don't really like playing cash this is the easiest way for me to make points quickly.  Usually, at this level you have better players playing as well so ya don't get bored as easily and not as many stupid plays.

I also need to put some money on Blue Square Poker as well because I signed up to play on the APAT National League thing they have every sunday (I believe it is) and I missed the first week last week because I forgot about it.  I signed up for North London's team cuz it's the closest to Essex.  There are a few EMS forum people on there and Linda and Richard(think that's his name) Iwaniak are on there as well :)  Should be very challenging for me.

According to my husband, I'm a really good player but lack the confidence in myself.  I know I definitely have the patience (usually) in MTT's because I can get pretty deep in long competitions but my problem is I don't play aggressively enough at times or too loose early on so always seem to be short-stacked most of the way and struggling.  I'm still working on it and always will be...another area I definitely need to work on is re-raising on a flop.

Well anyway,  hope all of you out there are well and having good luck and good skill at the tables....I'd also like to wish Caroline and Colin oodles and oodles of good cards and luck for this weekend :)
